I am a descndant of Barbara Auerbacher who married Isaak Hirsch Loewengard (son of Maier Hirsch Lowengard of Rexingen). Barbara's parents are listed as Loew Auerbacher and Bella. I am not exactly sure how Loew Auerbacher is related to the large Auerbach(er) family in Nordstetten. He certainly is.
Thus I am related to the semi-famous German author Berthold Auerbach, but I don't know how.
The Auerbach and Auerbacher families of Nordstetten can be traced back to Loew Auerbach who was born about 1660 in Auerbach bei Augsburg (which is in Schwaben, Bayern).
